VOLUNTEER POSITIONS

 TEAMS NOTES
Race Marshall The Race Marshall ensures compliance with all race rules and fair, timely resolution of any issues.
 Veterinarians Veterinarians are an indespensible part of the race team as they provide evaluation and any needed medical care for each dog at multiple intervals through the weekend.
 Snowmobilers - Trail Crew The trail crew ensures that all significant intersections have coverage. They also radio back to the communications crew at the Rec Club to track musher progress.
Snowmobiliers - Additional Crew These snowmobiliers are available to transport personnel, equipment and supplies as needed.  This work happens all throughout race weekend as well as pre and post race.
Snowmobiliers - Trail marking Prior to the race the trail is marked with lathe and colored plate/reflective tape. Post race all markers are collected for storage.
 Chute Helpers  Chute helpers handle dogs between the dog trucks and the start line. 
 Timers Timers are present at every start and finish to record the exact time. Timers also calculate overall time for each musher on each leg of the race, plus each mushers overall time. 
 Trinity Checkpoint Be part of the checkpoint crew as teams arrive and rest. Crew members check teams in and out, providing provisions and a hot meal. SPACE IS LIMITED - WE CANNOT GAURANTEE THAT ALL INTERESTED INDIVIDUALS WILL BE ABLE TO WORK AT THIS CHECKPOINT.
Lake Wenatchee Rec Club Checkpoint  Be part of the checkpoint crew as teams arrive and rest. Crew members check teams in and out, providing provisions and a hot meal.

 Goody Bags Purchase and secure donation for goody bags to be distributed among the volunteer on Saturday - one way we say "Thank You!"
 Traffic  Place signs directing traffic to the Rec Club beside the road in Leavenworth, at Cole's Corner and en route. Post signs to Parking. Direct parking traffic at high volume times. If anyone is interested in making more wood signs, that help would be welcome, too.

Check-in/out and Communications
This post at the Rec Club will be manned in shifts round the clock. Check volunteers in and provide them with vest/radios as appropriate. Volunteer check out and equipment collection. Track mushers as the trail team provides updates on the radios, post on display board.  
 Mushers Meeting Food Coordinate a simple meal. A food handlers permit is helpful.
 Spectator Education Organize a display of info boards and a sled dog bag contents display. Have copies of the Schedule of Events.
Photographers Share your photos of our race!
