The 2011 Cascade Quest Sled Dog Race
will take place January 28-30, 2011
We offer 4 exciting classes:
100 Mile 8-12 Dog Stage Race
75 Mile 6-Dog Stage Race
50 Mile 6-Dog Purebred Stage Race
24 Mile 2-6 Sporting / Recreation Class
For safety and health, dogs not registered as race participants will not be allowed in the dog yard or near any start/finish areas. New for 2011! Sponsor Recognition Night, Friday, Jan 28 in the "Skiland 1944" vintage dairy barn at Pine River Ranch Bed and Breakfast, 19668 State Hwy 207, Lake Wenatchee. Dinner, auction of winter-related items and activities, sled dog program, supervised childrens' activities. The public is invited* to this gala event to honor and thank our sponsors for their support. Dog Sled Rides! Cascade Quest veteran Tom Porter of Pounding Paws Kennel will be offering dog sled rides at this year's Cascade Quest. Adults (age 13 and over) $20; Children (age 6-12) $15; Children age 5 and under ride free with a paying adult. Proceeds support the Chelan County Fire District 9 firefighters and assist the Cascade Quest in keeping our volunteer snowmobile safety crews and support staff on the trail throughout the weekend. Times TBA. Winter Camping Village and Experience. If you are a tent camper interested in camping on-site** at the Cascade Quest, please contact the Spectator Coordinator to be placed on our contact list. Limited space available. There will be activities for everyone on Saturday and Sunday: some of the experiences in the works are outdoor photo clinics, dutch oven camp cooking demonstrations, snowshoe demos and winter survival skill workshops. Our demonstrators, Clyde and Lois Ambacher, who have taught dutch oven cooking across the western US for the Boy Scouts of America, REI and numerous community groups will show you everything you need to know about this fun way to cook outdoors in any season!

in the LWRC main room followed by hands-on outdoor photography
presented by Quest photographers Mike Bertrand and Tim Todd. Mike will help you get those great action shots, today's subjects being dogs and mushers, of course. Tim will demystify your camera - it really is your friend and all those buttons ARE easy to use and help you get those great shots!
