The next Cascade Quest will be February 1-3, 2013.

The organizing committee is excited to have additional organizers on board as well as several new ideas that will make for a fabulous 2013 Cascade Quest!

JANUARY 28-30, 2011 CASCADE QUEST

CLASS, FORMAT AND ROUTE INFORMATION


Regarding Race Routes:
Routes provided below are subject to change without notice.
Trail numbers and intersection letters correspond to the Lake Wenatchee Sno-park Map. Additional route information and hardcopies of the official race routes will be provided at the musher's meetings.


* 8-12 Dog / 100 Mile Stage Race
The course consists of three (3) stages over three days, totaling 100 miles. Day one is 30 mile loop. Day two is 35 miles with an overnight at the historic mining ghost town of Trinity. Day three is 35 miles with a finish at the Lake Wenatchee Rec Club.

8-12 Dog Stages 2&3, 35 miles x 2


* 6 Dog / 75 Mile Stage Race
The course consists of three (3) stages over three days, totaling 75 miles. Day one is a 25-mile loop. Day two is a 25-mile run to the historic mining ghost town of Trinity for an overnight. Day three is a 25-mile return route.

6 Dog Stages 2&3, 25 miles x 2


* 6 Dog / 50 Mile Purebreed

This class is open to teams consisting entirely of purebred dogs. The course consists of two (2) stages over two days, totaling 50 miles. Day one is 25 miles to the historic mining ghost town of Trinity for an overnight. Day two is a 25-mile return route.

This WILL be a timed event.
Merit awards WILL be provided.
There will be NO purse for this event.
6 Dog PB Stages 1&2, 25 miles X 2


* 2-6 Dog / 24 Mile
Sporting/Recreation Class
This class, an enjoyable run for mushers of any skill level, is open for 2-6 dog teams and skijorers with 1-3 dogs. The course consists of two (2) 12 mile stages held over two (2) days, totaling 24 miles. Day one is a 12-mile loop and day two is run the reverse of day one. Teams may run either or both days for the same fee.

This WILL be a timed event.
Merit awards WILL be provided for teams completing both days.
There will be NO purse for this event.

* Early Entry Discount! Postmark your completed/signed entry form along with full payment by 12-15-2010 to qualify for a significantly reduced entry fee(Payment after the Early Discount Deadline will be accepted at the regular entry rate.) See entry form and race rules for more entry fee and deadline information.

Entry Confirmation: Please note that email confirmation of receipt of your entry will be sent within one week of receiving your entry. Please ensure that cascadequest@nwi.net is an allowed email sender. If you have not received entry confirmation within two weeks of your entry postmark, please contact us at that email address.


* Junior Mushers: New this year, the CQ will have an additional document for Junior Mushers to submit. It will help explain and organize the additional information and documentation the CQ race rules have always required of Junior Mushers. A link to this document will be available here no later than 5pm PST October 15, 2010. Junior Mushers still enter with the official entry form above.
